Two big enhancements to the site!

November 22nd, 2006 admin Leave a comment Go to comments

1) You get immediate notification in your admin when an item is sold

2) Customers now have the option to send their contact information to you, the artist, at the time of check out. That allows our artists to know who bought their work!

    Gang:

Thank you very much for those two added features. I think this is vital if we are to come up with a demographic about our clients.

    Thanks William

Love all the new changes! FYI I did get a sale on Nov. 27th but didn’t get any mail about it. I found out by accident when I went in to look at the new design.

I am so proud to be a member of Imagekind! I have belonged to other art galleries online before but Imagekind beats them all hands down! Love you guys! Here’s to a profitable New Year and continued success to all my fellow artists on Imagekind!

Londie, I believe that is simply because the order had not been fully processed yet. Once it hits a certain stage of production the email goes out to the artists.

Thanks so much for your enthusiasm! Members like yourself keep us all incredibly excited about the future here at Imagekind.

I love the opportunity to sell my open edition prints through Imagekind.
I sent out a notice to past clients and friends this week and I am enjoying the feedback.

One troubling consistent comment, was also one I had had when first going on the Imagekind site – before I was a member. The artist’s main page layout is presented for an easy misdirect to Imagekind’s main marketplace and away from the artist’s page. I’m not saying intentionally but the tabs at the top are very large and can take the client off site instantly and by mistake, they are larger than the tabs for the artist’s work. A smaller bar across the top with the Imagekind tabs would be functionable and yet supportive of the artist. I work hard to direct new clients to my websites and will be strongly promoting my Imagekind site; I would like to feel a bit easier that they don’t get lost on the way.
I know everything will be evolving and growing, with balance to be found along the way, but truly it has and offers – amazing potential for all fine art artist and I will happily be passing the name along to my artist friends.
