Let’s decide the contest winners tomorrow!!

December 21st, 2006 admin Leave a comment Go to comments

We have been INCREDIBLY busy these last few days. Imagekind has had quite a few investors approach us over the last three months and we’ve decided to raise some money to help us increase marketing and build the ultimate art/photo market place for YOU.  But, that means I’ve been offline a lot more than usual lately. The good news is that all these investors who have approached us are inspired by your work and the work we’ve done on the site.

It’s all good news right? Sure it is!

But, you’ve taken time to tell us your best ideas and we’re going to figure out what new features we do next!!

Stay tuned folks!  Thank you for all the submissions.  They all gave me great ideas for new contests too.

I need to be able to place key words and tags information on my main landing page only –

This should cover all of the images in my so far 30 Galleries which have no key words or tags for each image – the ability to place these on my main landing page should at least help some and perhspa give me the ability to work with a pay per click program –

    thank you!

    Malone’s Masterpieces comments :
It would be HIGHLY BENEFICIAL to the artist if there was a
suggestion (REPLY) button for the prospective customer
to click (hit) on a painting after he has looked at it, didn’t like it, and moved on, without purchasing the work. A buttom for him to show (tell) his viewpoint in a PERSONAL message or comment to the artist’s piece in question. WHY he didn’t like it. What turned him off.
My suggestion is, we would make FAR MORE sales if the
CUSTOMER had a button to give the artist some FEEDBACK
on the artpiece. A personal opinion. For instance, the customer may say, “Wrong size, or Shape! Wrong colors, too dark! Wrong ethnic! Cost too much after framing! Crap! Wrong composition! Would buy it if the people were asian, or could you do me a special painting and put in…? or don’t want to hurt your feeling, but if you did one with a blue background and purple ceiling? Need to go to art school!” Then, the artist can evaluate his or her own work. And improve, remove, or upgrade according to what BUYERS are asking and looking for.
Speaking of looking for, to keep down confusion, buyers who are looking for art might not place photography in that category. There are photographers and there are fine art painters.
Photographers should be LISTED as photographers and not ARTISTS
I’m FAR, FAR, FAR RAR, FAR MORE INTERESTED in what the buyers think about my work than imagekind members.
I want to improve my status with imagekind and the public.
It’s the outside customers who will be purchasing the work.
“Family” of photos of members weaken sales.

Last, but not least, I’m seeing all these hits on some pieces
and I want to know what’s going on.
