I think it goes way beyond art too...how many engineering feats have (or are attempting) to emulate nature? Trees "invented" the idea of incoporporating foundations (or roots) to keep structures stable and upright; birds -> aeroplanes; the list is endless when you start thinking about it....

My instinct tells me that nature is way cleverer than any of us, and that's why I have such a respect for it....as is demonstrated through my art (I hope!).

The attempt to place anyhting into a specific formula is a rather interesting concept yet the elelments of that formula will vary not only for each individual and the amount of any of the elements that they are working with in general but will fluctuate from one moment to the next since there is no set amount that they can be relegated to -

Kelly's question however:

Is there an inspired work of art that isn’t a combination of some other artists style or something seen or known in nature?

is the most interesting here - what varies within that question is how much and to what extent is the combination made up of any one or more of the elements mentioned either consciously or unconsciously and just which of any of those elements utilized in an "inspired" work of art is being conveyed to the viewer and touching their senses?

Of course there can be an infinite amount of testng - study and hypothesizing done on this subject - but the main point might be here made to encourage individual artists in our group to continue to create art and with as much diligence as possible!

What’s a person?

person = i(d+e+a)

I = I
D = Determined
E = Elegant
A= Affirmative

\ p(k+i)+ i(d+e+a) = an image in kind

Cheers Kelly,

Hmmm... Since wisdom is knowledge applied, I prefer:

idea = p(w+i)
