Ready to Enter the World of HDR?

HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography is becoming an increasingly popular style of photography that uses various techniques to represent the wider range of intensity levels found in real scenes that isn’t normally captured with a photograph. There are various ways you can approach creating HDR images, but a couple of basic practices always apply, and some kind of software is usually needed.

The website “Tutorial Blog” is usually a great resource for lots of design related instruction – but the other day I was reminded that they have also posted a wonderfully comprehensive directory of tutorials and information to help anyone interested in working with HDR! This list covers everything from the overall concept, beginning with HDR, to perfecting the technique and making more realistic images. It has info and instruction from some of the best photographers using HDR right now, including the ever popular Imagekind member Trey Ratcliff.

So if you were ever interested in giving these techniques a try, or just understanding what all the fuss is about, check out this very useful article.

There are quite a few photographers already selling HDR works on Imagekind. I encourage you to take a look – it’s some pretty amazing work. You can start by checking out images tagged with HDR.
