Okay.
I'll go along with your
benevolent approach.
Sounds good to test the market.
Again, it's a GREAT IDEA!
Thanks for the this most
innovative humane
gesture from imagekind.
Your efforts are the epitome
of what serving
the community is all about.
Keep it up!

How about taking it a step further, and adding an international dimension too, at some point?
I understand that international freight would make contests of this kind impractical to run globally, but why not hold a contest in future which would award US Non-Profits who work on the international stage, with art works created by artists living outside of the United States...this would add an interesting international flavor to the contest, and also make non-US artists feel like they have an equal opportunity to promote their work through these ImageKind contests.

James,

We are doing this locally first to see how well it goes, then thinking nationally.

The Non-Profit is a WONDERFUL IDEA!!
However, why not take it up NATIONALLY so
EVERYBODY can get a piece of the pie?!
ALL of the member artists and every
Non-profit shelter across the nation
should be able to participate.
Be a liaison in my state of Georgia and
I would praise imagekind to the highest.

This is such a great idea...not only does it provide extra exposure for Imagekind amongst new groups of people, but it will add a great deal of brightness to many people's lives - both directly and indirectly.

I already use some of my IK galleries to raise money for charities/non-profits via my "Shops with a Mission" program - http://www.dezinedesign.com/charity-support - I currently am working with just one charity, but am talking to several others who will be represented before the end of this year so you'll see galleries in support of these non-profits being added to my IK site very soon.

Good on you, ImageKind - this is a great idea and a wonderful project.
