[...] We wanted to hear a little more about what are member artists are doing outside of Imagekind, so we put out the call a little while ago. We got a great response and hope everyone keeps it up! I’m sure there’s more busy artists with lots to tell, but we encourage you to take a look at those who jumped up and decided to share right away. [...]

Dear ImageKind,

I'm just setting up my ImageKind profile and gallery (see my web link), but I wouldn't bother trying to sell art ON-line if I wasn't sure I could get plenty of OFF-line publicity.

The best source I know for information on becoming a publicity hound (instead of a media mutt) is at http://www.publicityhound.com/. With Joan Stewart's advice, getting publicity for my day job (making spark plug wires) and my own charitable activities (fundraising for the MDA) is a lot of fun. The best thing for ImageKind gallery owners is that Joan offers a FREE press release course called, "89 Ways to Write Powerful Press Releases." I love this course and recommend it highly to anyone selling fine art prints.

Yes, we often do our best creative work alone, but if you EVER leave the house, you might as well have a good time, spread some good cheer with your art and make a few bucks. If you visit the Publicity Hound, tell Joan hi for me and keep writing those press releases.
