Happy St. Patrick’s day! Today is the day to celebrate St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland.

Captured by Irish raiders he spent 6 years as a prisoner in Ireland.  Upon escaping, he traveled back to his native Wales and entered the Church. Later he would return to Ireland as a Christian missionary to the very peoples who imprisoned him.
