This is a BIG upgrade. The new member admin area at Imagekind.com looks better, works better and is just easier to navigate. We think this is the most powerful platform for selling art on the internet. Having said that, we know we can always improve. Please send your ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org!
This is a good read about how ImageKind has grown since its launch 3 months ago.
1) You get immediate notification in your admin when an item is sold
2) Customers now have the option to send their contact information to you, the artist, at the time of check out. That allows our artists to know who bought their work!
In the spirit of full coverage, here’s a link to our member newsletter sent last week. If you are a Gallery Member and not receiving these bi-weekly emails, please email us and let us know. We’ll get you on the mailing list as soon as possible.
The newsletter includes info on our affiliate program, an artist spotlight, announcement of new features on the site, ways to market your site and a new promotion code and much more. If you have important news to share, let us know at email@example.com.
We’re all very excited about our new relationship with EBSQart.com, a very well respected online art association. EBSQart.com provides tools and services to a host of talented, independent artists.
Selling art online will be easier for EBSQ members with Imagekind accounts, who will be able to easily link directly to their Imagekind portfolios from their EBSQ gallery. This will increase the amoun tof Wall Art and Framed Art available for sale. We’re pleased to work with the members of the EBSQ community, and look forward to building out the relationship.
Glynn uses his blog to display his own work, and provides a link to Imagekind where he sells art online.
This is a great example of how using something as simple as a WordPress blog can provide more exposure and eyeballs for Glynn’s framed art. (We found Glynn in a Technorati search). He has some great work at his blog and in his gallery, so make sure to stop by.
Kristen Fox (aka. FoxVox) was interviewed by JGoode Designs when they had a chance to meet recently. You can read the wonderful insights into Fox’s creativeness here.
This is a great example of the diverse styles that fit really well on a number of media. Fox has a whole range of items selling other sites as well as her own. She has even created a Christmas oriented collection which she promotes separately on her site’s shop. Even though it’s probably a little early for most people’s taste (ahem*, mine…) to start thinking about Christmas, this is just the thing for classy holiday decor.
Kristen Fox is definitely a top example of someone working in this style, so be sure to give her gallery a look sometime.
