We’ve been seeing a lot of really spectacular work flooding into our community lately, I suppose because our name is finally getting out there in a word-of-mouth, or viral (if you must) way. Though we have been attracting professionals (as well as very talented amateurs) since before our beta launch, it’s very exciting to see that the quality of new work continues to stay high. Also, it’s a lot of fun and really amazing to be able to discover new favorites every day.

One such new discovery is John Rocco. He has quite a background, having worked with Disney, Digital Domain, and Dreamworks (a penchant for D’s perhaps?), and is now pursuing a career as a children’s book author and illustrator. His illustrations are incredibly whimsical and filled to the brim with color and fantastic details. The haircut he sports in his childhood portrait can only be described as awesome.
