Trivia Tuesday: What was the Purpose?

April 28th, 2009 nate 1 comment

Trivia Tuesday is a new feature on the Imagekind blog, which features a weekly trivia question. Some might argue that not all the questions are really trivia, because they lack a solid answer. Thus, they are more like opinion questions, not trivia. Well, that might be true, but because both “trivia” and “Tuesday” start with the same letter, and there is no day of the week that starts with the letter “O”, we’re sticking with the name.

Question: The famous Louvre Museum in Paris, France was built in 1190. However, it was not originally built to serve as a museum. What was the buildings original purpose? Select your answer below.
